The Final Bow: Let’s Say Goodbye To Lima On Glee

Let’s take all those signs off except the New York one now folks.

Lima, Ohio.

It actually exists is one thing. Something I didn’t know until I was told about. Much like Forks, Washington the real town of Lima, Ohio will probably be known for one thing.

Which is Glee. I can, at least, make a case that being associated with Glee is a billion times better than being associated with Twilight. At least some of the earlier seasons of Glee will be fondly remembered. Twilight is just going to be a general cultural embarrassment that will be studied for years and years to come.

Anyway, this week in “New Directions” we moved on from Lima, Ohio to New York City full time. Glee will be out the titular “glee” club and, rather, we would be following it’s graduated members full time.

A Heartfelt Thank-You To Glee And Gleeks For The Glee 100th Episode

So in like a day or so, Glee’s 100th episode will premiere.

We’re going to be doing a big week long celebration between both parts of the 100th episode (“100” and “New Directions” episodes twelve and thirteen of season five respectively) on the new website. So you should go check it out.

Anyway, I wanted to write something here to commemorate it. I’m going to try to get out another post as well this week before I go to Syracuse to check out the grad school I was accepted in. (Yeah I got into grad school. Yaaaay.)

Truth be told, I wasn’t sure what to write here. Eventually I just decide on being honest and heartfelt and all that stuff.

My Top Ten Favorite Glee Characters In Honor Of Glee 100

In any form of pop culture whether it be a book, movie, television show, radio drama…people are going to prefer one character to the other. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. It’s in people’s nature to be drawn to certain personality types and repelled by others.

Even though these characters are merely, as Shakespeare called them, “shadows” of real life; we still care about them. We invested time in reading, watching, and listening to them.

So in the interest of sharing and celebrating, Glee’s hundredth episode I am going to count down my 10 favorite characters. Now this is totally personal and subjective. These are the characters that I personally have loved over the course of the show.

Now these characters are a mixed bag. They are going to one-off, guest stars, and series regulars. Although, if you read this blog or know me, well you can probably guess who my number one is fairly easily. I make no secret of it.

The Best Of The Worst: Let’s Talk Glee Villains For The Glee 100

Hello everyone! Welcome to the opening post of the Glee 100th episode celebration here on The Glee Rewatch Project! I’ll be trying to bring you fun posts in the coming weeks for this momentous occasion!

They’re coming for you in a singing rainbow.

I always had a soft spot for the villain of the story.

I always felt bad for the witch and the ugly stepsisters. I think that’s why I like Wicked so much.

I like bad guys especially ones that are sympathetic.

Villains on Glee are something exists all over the place. Now I refuse to believe that people in Glee will EVER exist in real life. Dear God I wouldn’t be able to function or free because I would be in jail for assault.

Sorry. That was kind of dark wasn’t it?

Anyway Glee villains are a bit like the villains from those old animated shorts except without twirling their mustaches and tying people to train tracks.

Now some people, like Dave Karofsky, I won’t consider a villain. Yes I know that all dickery (supposedly) has a root cause. I just believe that the villains I’ve picked are villains because of their choices versus acting out because of their repressed sexuality. Some of the villains are sympathetic and even pitiable in hindsight, but yeah this is subjective and Dave’s not going to be here.

So let’s talk about the villains.
